Agathe Dumont

Agathe Dumont has a doctorate in performing arts and conducts research on the training practices and work of dancers in contemporary dance, hip-hop, and acrobatics. Her current theoretico-practical project concerns improvisation as a form of training for professional dancers. She teaches dance practice at Staps as well as the history of dance and circus and the analysis of performance in the Ecoles Supérieures where students prepare for careers in the fields of arts and culture (CNDC Angers, EAC Paris, Désoblique Training Centre in Lyon). She is currently co-ordinator of the Association of Dance Researchers.

Agathe Dumont est docteure en arts du spectacle et poursuit des recherches sur les pratiques d’entraînement et le travail des danseurs en danse contemporaine, hip-hop et acrobatie. Elle travaille actuellement sur un projet théorico pratique sur l'improvisation comme mode d'entraînement avec des danseurs professionnels. Elle enseigne la pratique de la danse en Staps, ainsi que l’histoire de la danse et du cirque ou l’analyse des spectacles dans des écoles supérieures ouvrant aux métiers de l’art ou de la culture (CNDC d’Angers, EAC Paris, Centre de formation Désoblique à Lyon). Elle est actuellement coordinatrice de l’association des Chercheurs en Danse.
