Carol Brown
Dr Carol Brown is an internationally established choreographer, performer and dance scholar. Her work takes place at the intersections between choreography, architecture, technology and sound and involves sustained collaborations with diverse artists. Her company, Carol Brown Dances, was established in London during a choreographic residency at the Place Theatre. She has created work for theatres, art galleries and public spaces and has collaborated on interactive performances. Her work has been presented by Dance Umbrella London (Nerve, Machine for Living and SeaUnsea), Roma Europa (Shelf Life) and the Prague Quadrenniale (Touch Tower and Mnemosyne). Carol is an associate professor in dance studies at The University of Auckland, New Zealand and a visiting reader in choreography at Roehampton University, UK.
