April Nunes Tucker
April Nunes Tucker has a PhD in dance and phenomenology. She has lectured in dance at Trinity Laban, Roehampton University and helped launch the undergraduate dance degree at University of Bedfordshire, UK. She publishes in the areas of dance and phenomenological inter-subjectivity and reflective practice in healthcare and performance. April performs and makes dances that take movement inspiration from butoh and yoga and are usually site-specific, structured improvisations. She is interested in the inter-subjective relationships that are formed between performer and audience and her practical and theoretical work reflects this interest.
