Andrea Mantell Seidel
Andrea Mantell Seidel is professor of Dance and associate professor of Religious Studies at Florida International University. She is trustee of Eleanor King’s choreographic legacy and artistic director of the critically acclaimed Isadora Duncan Dance Ensemble. Seidel has lectured, presented papers, and performed as a soloist at prestigious conferences and festivals throughout US and abroad, including Internationales Tanzfestival, Germany; Kennedy Center, Washington; Hong Kong International Festival; Goethe Festival, Russia. She is a recipient of NDEO’s Visionary Award, Fulbright Senior Scholar and author of Dancing Duncan: The Art and Soul of Isadora in the 21st Century (forthcoming McFarland, 2014).
Andrea Mantell Seidel est professeure de danse et maître de conférences d’études religieuses à l’Université Internationale de Floride. Elle est curatrice de l’héritage chorégraphique d’Eleanor King et directrice artistique de l’Ensemble de Danse Isadora Duncan encensé par la critique. Seidel a donné des conférences, présenté des exposés et interprété des œuvres en soliste lors de rencontres et festivals prestigieux, à travers les États-Unis comme à l’étranger, notamment : à l’Internationales Tanzfestival, en Allemagne ; au Kennedy Center, à Washington ; au Hong Kong International Festival ; au Goethe Festival en Russie. Elle a reçu le Prix Visionary de la National Dance Education Organization (NDEO) et a été destinataire d’une bourse Fulbright pour universitaires confirmés. Elle est l’auteure de Dancing Duncan : The Art and Soul of Isadora in the 21st Century (à paraître chez McFarland, 2014).
